Basic Conflict worksheet

Scene Doctor Worksheet

This can be used when a scene feels flat and you are trying to determine the reason.

What is Character’s goal at start of scene?  What does character hope to accomplish?

What is motivation?  Why is character here?

What is preventing character from accomplishing goal?

How does scene end?

What has changed during the scene?

What is the main purpose of this scene? You should be able to list at least three things:

Has this information been revealed elsewhere?

Is this scene in the right place?  Why does it have to place there?
